Ruby Dhalla is a Canadian political leader who has her roots in India. She is 34 years old and belongs to the Liberal Party which is known to be the “powerhouse” of the political circuit of Canada. In the year 1984, when Sikhs were shot dead by the soldiers of the Indian army at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Ruby was a ten-year-old little girl and she had written a letter to Indira Gandhi, who was the Prime Minister of India at that time, saying that the violence should end. Indira Gandhi had responded to her letter personally and even quoted it at a press conference. Her dad left the family when she was barely ten years old and she never spoke about him.
She is young, vivacious, single woman who is fond of wearing figure-hugging pencil cut skirts and stilettos. She was merely 35 years when Brampton-Springdale was represented by her. She is highly intelligent, aggressive and very articulate and had been very good at the questioning of the government.
