Serving light, simple and basic thalis, this establishment is more than 100 years old and was set up to serve home-cooked meals to Gujarati villagers who came to Mumbai in search of opportunity.
The thali consists of 4 types of vegetables, dal, farsan, phulkas, bhakris, salad and a sweet dish. It's old fashioned and doesn't seem to overload the stomach despite generous garnishes of ghee.
