She herself admits that she is not just a celeb wife. There is more to her. Mana Shetty, as her surname suggests itself, is the wife of action star Suniel Shetty who is known for a number of successful films like ‘Dilwale’ (1994), ‘Mohra’ (1994), ‘Gopi Kishan’ (1994), ‘Border’ (1997), ‘Bhai’ (1997), ‘Hera Pheri’ (2000) and ‘Dhadkan’ (2000) among others. Mana married Suniel in 1991 and both have two children, Athiya and Ahan. While their daughter Athiya has already made her Bollywood debut with ‘Hero’ in 2015, their son Ahan is expected to enter the film industry with a film to be made under Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner. But interestingly Mana has nothing to do with the glamour and film industry. You won’t see her in any film events and parties. She keeps herself busy by investing her time and energies in different sectors of work. So what does she actually do?
Mana, who was born to a Punjabi Hindu mother and a Gujarati Muslim father, owns a chain of luxury hotels all over India. Not just that, she is also in the construction business and runs several fashion stores also. In January 2013, she set up a home décor store in Mumbai. The list of her business endeavors does not end just there. She also has many more businesses to take care of. Mana is related with various NGOs who cater to the under privileged children in the country. Mana is the trustee of Save The Children India. One of her resource mobilization efforts is a fundraising exhibition named Araaish, which began in 2007. The fund which is collected through the initiative goes for the benefit of adolescent girls and young women.
Apart from all that, she also helps her husband in maintaining his chain of boating clubs. Wow. After reading about all her work and business ventures, I must have to say that she is a one powerhouse of woman with massive amount of will and talent.
