Phoonk 2 was shot at Bougain Villa, which is owned by actor Mandira Bedi and her producer husband Raj Kaushal. According to reports, the couple now prefers to rent it out rather than actually living there.

It's not just India that provides the best locations for horror films. Many directors have travelled far and wide for their films. Agyaat, which had all its action unfolding in a jungle, was shot in Sri Lanka. The dense forest cover provided suitable shooting spots for director Ram Gopal Varma.
