
Estonia is very small in population but this has never stopped them from being progressive. In 2015 the Parliament National Defence Committee organized a public meeting on whether females should be part of the military or not. Though it is not a compulsion, however, women are encouraged strongly to become a part of the Estonian military. Tilu Keru who is an Estonian woman is a decorated general and is serving in the U.S armed forces.
16. Belgium

Before 1970, Belgian military only consisted of males. Later many women showed interest to participate in the army and there are examples when women have gone up till the post of major general. Even though the women are subjected to the prejudices from the seniors and some women even admitted to looking down upon on the 8% of female force in Belgium.
